THIRTY-FIVE volunteers from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) conducted a cleaning campaign at the Centre for Children with Special Needs (KACA) in the Belait District yesterday.
The clean-up was part of BSP’s ‘90 Acts of Kindness’ project, organised in conjunction with the company’s 90th anniversary.
BSP has conducted a series of charitable activities over the year in collaboration with stakeholders in the Belait District, helping the company foster closer relations with the public and also to give back to the community.
BSP Senior External Relations Advisor at the Communications and External Affairs Department Haji Suffian bin Haji Zainal Abidin led the volunteers for the clean-up, that included the trimming of trees as well as painting the KACA Centre.
The campaign at KACA was the second volunteer work held under the ‘90 Acts of Kindness’ project. The first was held last month at the Muhammad Alam Primary School.
BSP will continue to hold similar activities throughout the year.
With focus on the Seria and Kuala Belait areas, the ‘90 Acts of Kindness’ project activities include grass-cutting, cleaning campaigns at schools, environmental protection and support for the underprivileged.
