HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, yesterday received in audience Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.
Accompanying Valentina Matvienko were Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Brunei Darussalam Vladlen Semivolos, and Deputy Chairperson of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Iliyas Umakhanov, in his capacity as Representative of the Executive Authority of the Republic of Dagestan.
Also present were Speaker of the Legislative Council Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib and Secretary to the Cabinet Ministers’ Council and Clerk I to the Legislative Council Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Jaya Dato Paduka Haji Judin bin Haji Asar.
The audience ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.
