It is my great pleasure to note the active development of Japan-Brunei relations in various fields not only in the fields of political and economic cooperation but also in defence, health, sports and tourism. I strongly expect the direct flight between Tokyo and Bandar Seri Begawan starting from March 15 will further promote our friendship and partnership.
The imperial family of Japan and the royal family of Brunei Darussalam have enjoyed the long history of special relations.
