MINISTER of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin received a courtesy call from Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Dato’ Seri Dr Wan Azizah binti Dr Wan Ismail, who is also the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development at The Empire Hotel & Country Club in Jerudong on Tuesday.
During the courtesy call, they discussed issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation in the field of women, family and community development of both countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia also visited Pusat Bahagia in Kampong Pulaie yesterday afternoon and listened to a briefing on the roles and responsibilities of the Community Development Depart-ment (JAPEM) as well as programmes carried out at the centre.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia also took a closer look at classrooms, training workshops and met Pusat Bahagia students.
She was welcomed by the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Accompanying her were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Senator Dato’ Marzuki bin Haji Yahya, Deputy Secretary General at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Raja Dato’ Nushirwan bin Zainal Abidin and Brunei Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil as well as senior officers.
