THE Youth Entrepreneurship Weekend was officially launched yesterday, by Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
Hosted by Excel Event Management, with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, the three-day event is a platform for local youth entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services at the Youth Centre in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Open to the public at 10am to 10pm today and 8am to 8pm tomorrow, among the main highlights are Business 101 Advisory sessions where guest speakers from various industries will talk about basic business skills on Marketing, Financial Literacy, Business Expansion, the Millionaire’s Mindset and the ROl Quadrant.
There will also be a talk session in the open area today, where prominent entrepreneurs and corporate stakeholders will share their success stories with the audience.
In conjunction with the first-term school holidays, visitors can expect to enjoy a list of family-friendly activities such as a colouring contest, a spelling bee, a radio-controlled Mini-Z tournament, a car boot sale, an archery contest and a Role of Survival (RoS) competition.
Ten per cent of the proceeds from the vendors’ sales will be donated to the Brunei Darussalam National Orphans Fund.
