HAMIDUN Haji Abdul Hamid was announced as the monthly winner for the month of July in the Brunei Petanque League 2016 and collected the full 16 points at the top of the ranking table at the Petanque Field of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Sports Complex recently.
Hamidun outfoxed Wirna Haji Mohamad Yassin 13-2 in the final to win the coveted yellow jersey and a winner’s plaque.
Wirna will trail Hamidun by a solitary point with 15 followed by Mazlan Haji Yahya with 14 points and Khairul Bariyah Khairul Anuar with 13 points.
Presenting the prizes to the winners was Haji Abdul Karim bin Haji Ahmad, Acting President of Brunei Darussalam Petanque Federation (BDPF).
Thirteen players have chalked ranking points in the quest of becoming the first ever champion of the Brunei Petanque League 2016.
