SC TUBULAR Solutions (B) Sdn Bhd, working with Mothercare, yesterday presented infant car seats to 14 parents of newborns during a ceremony at the Women and Children Centre of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital.
The initiative aims to raise awareness on the importance of infant car seats.
Senior Tubular Advisor Mark Ascoli presented the infant car seats to the parents.
Speaking to the Bulletin, he said, “It is our passion to raise awareness for the safety of infants. We see people driving in their cars with an infant on their lap, and the infant maybe most at risk in the car. Therefore, we hope to carry on with this initiative for some time to come.
“We also held an awareness campaign recently on the radio, which ran for a few months.”
“We are aiming to give away 13 infant car seats every month, starting from April this year to March next year,” he added.
