PERMANENT Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports Datin Paduka Dr Hajah Norlila binti Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Jalil attended the Library Open Day at the Muara Library of the Language and Literature Bureau (DBP) yesterday.
The event is one of the efforts by the DBP to increase the use of libraries and promote the services and facilities of library to the public.
The event demonstrated the importance of libraries as the main medium in disseminating and obtaining information resource.
The permanent secretary as the guest of honour flagged-off a recreational cycling and joined the morning exercise and toured the stalls set up at the event.
Legislative Council member Yang Berhormat Siti Rozaimeriyanty binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Abdul Rahman also attended.
Activities included a book sale, exotic pet display, archery as well as games.
