THE Fire Safety Division of the Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) will be led by Senior Superintendent Nohi Irwan Surkarki bin Haji Pawi, following a handing over of duties ceremony by Senior Superintendent Taib bin Haji Abdul Kahar yesterday.
The ceremony was held at the marching ground of the FRD Headquarters, witnessed by senior officers and members of Fire Safety Division.
The outgoing Head of Fire Safety Senior Superintendent Taib retired from service on March 23, 2019. He started his service with the FRD on July 23, 1985 and was placed at the Fire Safety Division in 1995 as a station officer.
Senior Superintendent Taib inspected a guard of honour mounted by FRD personnel, and observed an investigation led by Deputy Station Officer Haji Yusri bin Haji Ahmad.
He conveyed his gratitude for the support given during his tenure, and stressed on human resources as being vital to the development of an organisation, with values of trustworthiness, honesty and loyalty required to build strong members.
