THE Kolej Islam Klang (KIK) Brunei alumni hosted the Taqarrub Kolej Islam Klang 67 ceremony at the Tarindak D’Seni in Jalan Residency yesterday.
The guest of honour, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, who is also the KIK alumni member and spouse Datin Hajah Zalina binti Haji Omar were present.
Members of the Malaysian KIK alumni, led by Dato Haji Jamlus bin Deraman, also attended the event.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Putera Maharaja Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Ghani bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Dewa Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Rahim as the Chairman of the organising committee was also present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Doa Selamat followed by speeches by the minister and LegCo member.
The event continued with the exchange of souvenirs between the two alumni by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Putera Maharaja Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Ghani and Dato Haji Jamlus.
