ONE third of participation from eligible voters is required in the elections for the new Penghulu of Mukim Mentiri this Sunday.
Assistant Officer Grade I Mohammad Hassanhamuny bin Bakar said this during a press conference at the Brunei-Muara District Office yesterday.
“The election, to be held this Sunday on April 7 from 8am to 4pm, will be held at four separate locations to ensure the convenience of the voters,” he explained.
“The locations are the Mukim Mentiri Community Centre for voters residing at Kampong Mentiri Zones 1-2, RPN Kampong Mentiri and RPN Kampong Panchor (Mengkubau); Batu Marang Religious School for voters residing at Kampong Batu Marang; Kampong Sungai Buloh Mosque for voters residing in Kampong Sungai Buloh and RPN Kampong Sungai Buloh (Bukit Sibanging); and the Youth Development Centre in Jalan Utama Tanah Jambu for voters residing in Kampong Tanah Jambu/Kampong Salar and STKRJ Tanah Jambu.”
Voters should be 18 years and above, and should bring their identification cards.
The counting of votes and announcement of the results will be held after the elections at the Mukim Mentiri Community Centre.
