IN CONJUNCTION with International Women’s Month, the Lovelocalfest Women’s Edition Forum yesterday discussed the way towards a more gender-balanced world in an Islamic context. This is in line with International Women’s Month theme ‘Balance for Better’.
The forum – hosted by Futurebrands Group at the Mabohai Shopping Complex – also coincides with a five-day showcase between April 3 – 7 promoting products and services mainly from local women entrepreneurs.
Four guest speakers from prominent Brunei women’s organisations – Women Graduates Association of Brunei Darussalam (PSW), Women’s Initiative and Network Brunei and International Women’s Club of Brunei Darussalam – gave their views at the forum as that discussed the theme ‘Emerging Femalepreneurs and enabling young women and future change makers,’ revolving around the celebration of women’s achievements locally.
Speakers at the forum included Founder of PAZ Tarbiyyah Islamic Enrichment Centre Dr Hajah Mona Yati binti Dato Seri Laila Jasa Haji Mohd Kassim, President of the PSW Pengiran Hajah Zabaidah binti Pengiran Haji Kamaluddin and General Secretary of Women’s Initiatives and Network Brunei Hanis Jasmine binti Zaini.
