COMMANDER of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, paid an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan from April 8-10, a press release stated.
Accompanying the Commander of the RBAF was Director of Logistics Colonel Pengiran Azmali bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Salleh.
The visit began at the Joint Staff Headquarters where the Commander of the RBAF inspected a guard of honour comprising personnel from the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Commander of the RBAF also held separate courtesy calls on President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi; Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Zubair Mahmood Hayat; and Chief of Army Staff, Pakistan Army General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
Both sides acknowledged the friendly bilateral defence relations between the RBAF and the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and discussed matters of bilateral defence cooperation.
The Commander of the RBAF and delegation also visited Pakistan’s defence companies and manufacturers and attended a dinner hosted by the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan at the Joint Staff Officers Mess.
