THERE is a need to “struggle” in performing the dawn prayers to receive multifold rewards from Allah the Almighty.
Those performing mass dawn prayer “will have the perfect light in the hereafter”, and the act “is similar to performing prayers throughout the night”.
These points were highlighted during yesterday’s talk entitled Pejuang Fajar at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque by Special Duties Officer Grade II at the Counselling and Religious Understan-ding Unit, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid, adding that those who give alms during dawn and perform Istighfar during Sahur will “get the highest reward in heaven”.
He also noted that those who sit until sunrise while reciting zikir, followed by performing two rakaat prayer will get rewards on par to that gifted by performing the Umrah and Haj.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud and Permanent Secretary at the MoRA Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Aziz bin Orang Kaya Maharaja Lela Haji Yussof were present.
The talk was organised by the MoRA with the support of the Prime Minister’s Office as part of the weekly Masjidku Makmur, Negara Berkat programme aimed at drawing more congregants to the mass Subuh prayer at the Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Mosque.
It gives participants of Bandarku Ceria the chance to begin their day with blessings through participation in the mass dawn prayer and gaining rewards through wirid recitation.
