The Fire and Rescue Department (FRD) hosted a Doa Kesyukuran in conjunction with its 60th anniversary at the surau of FRD Headquarters in Old Airport, Berakas yesterday.
Permanent Secretary (Safety, Welfare and Law) at the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) Mohd Amir Hairil bin Haji Mahmud was the guest of honour.
Over 150 officers and FRD personnel as well as senior officials under the MoHA attended the event. The ceremony began with mass Sunnat Hajat and Asar prayers led by Head of Religious Teachers of FRD Haji Othman bin Asat, followed by the recitation of Surah Yaasiin and Ratib Al-Attas and concluded with a Doa Kesyukuran.
Acting Director of Fire and Rescue Lim Hock Guan, assistant directors, senior officials, personnel and members of the department, as well as acting director of the National Disaster Management Centre were also present.
