Brunei Darussalam continues to maintain its record of no new COVID-19 cases for the 36th consecutive day yesterday, keeping the tally of cases at 141.
This was said by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference yesterday.
“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty there is no new COVID-19 case in the country. The number of recovered cases remains at 138. Only one case is still undergoing treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC).
“The case is still in a critical condition requiring a heart-lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance. Let us pray for the patient to be granted complete recovery by Allah the Almighty.”
The minister said 88 individuals are undergoing quarantine in accordance to the Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204) while 2,735 individuals have completed quarantine.
In the past 24 hours, 423 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, bringing the total number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 24,131.
“Alhamdulillah, 371,347 people have registered as BruHealth users, while 7,257 companies and premises have registered for the application.
Meanwhile, 2,145 business premises have also downloaded the PremiseScan application, which is intended for individuals who do not have access to mobile phone devices to enter the premises.”
