No new COVID-19 cases reported in Brunei

No new COVID-19 cases were reported in Brunei Darussalam yesterday keeping the number at 141.

This was said by Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar during a press conference yesterday.

“Alhamdulillah, with the grace of Allah the Almighty, no new of COVID-19 cases were reported in the country. The number of recovered cases remains at 138. Only one case is still undergoing treatment at the National Isolation Centre (NIC).

“The case is still in critical condition requiring heart/lung machine (ECMO) as well as respiratory assistance. Let us together pray for the patient to be granted full recovery by Allah the Almighty.”

Meanwhile, 268 samples have been tested for the SARS-CoV-2 virus in the past 24 hours bringing the number of laboratory tests conducted since January 2020 to 24,399.

“Alhamdulillah, 375,052 individuals have registered as BruHealth users while 7,438 companies and premises have registered for the application.

“Meanwhile, 2,437 business premises have downloaded the PremiseScan application, which is intended for individuals who do not have access to mobile phones to enter the premises,” said the minister.

In its breakdown of COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate, healthinfo.gov.bn revealed that there were 110 cases in the Brunei-Muara District, 25 in the Belait District and six in the Tutong District.
