Special flight takes stranded folks home

Sixty foreigners returned to Bangkok, Thailand from Brunei Darussalam, onboard Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) flight BI 519 yesterday, thanks to the special repatriation flight arrangement by the Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam in cooperation with RB.

The passengers comprised 43 Thai nationals and 17 non-Thai nationals.

Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to Brunei Darussalam Wanthanee Viputwongsakul distributed travel necessities such as face masks and hand sanitiser as well as packed lunch for the group of students, migrant workers and individuals given special permission to enter Thailand.

The Royal Thai Embassy extended its appreciation to the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and National Registration Department, Department of Civil Aviation and RB for their assistance.

The first special repatriation flight was arranged on June 20, carrying 44 Thai nationals.
