The Ministry of Finance and Economy (MoFE) held a celebration to mark 1442 Hijrah New Year at the ministry’s Surau yesterday.
Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah was the guestof honour.
Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy (Fiscal) Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, permanent secretaries, department and section heads, officers and staff at the ministry were also present.
The ceremony began with mass Asar prayer followed by a religious talk by certified Da’ie from Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) Abdul Rahman bin Haji Ajak.
