The Kampong Bolkiah Community Development Centre founded by the Big BWN Project under the initiative of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah’s (YSHHB) Ristaan Abadi received a positive response during its launch yesterday.
Legislative Council members Yang Berhormat Nik Hafimi binti Abdul Haadii and Yang Berhormat Khairunnisa binti Haji Ash’ari, Permanent Secretary (Planning, Land Use and Environment) at the Ministry of Development (MoD) and Acting Managing Director of YSHHB Dr Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak and Permanent Secretary (Administration, Finance and Estate) at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) Pengiran Mohd Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud were present.
The centre encourages Kampong Bolkiah residents to develop their socio-economic status through entrepreneurship training and technical education among others.
Twenty Bolkiah Women’s Club members showcased their handicraft and traditional dishes at the launch.
