Over 10 BMW riders went to the Temburong District to participate in the Motorrad Care Cartons 2020 yesterday.
The first-ever such event in Brunei was organised by BMW Motorrad Brunei. General Manager of QAF Auto Alisa Khoo and members of QAF Auto participated in the ride.
According to Alisa, BMW Motorrad Care Cartons is adopting a concept followed by BMW Malaysia.
Five less fortunate families and registered orphans in the Temburong District received the contributions.
“We plan to do this every year. The interesting part of the event is that all the contributions came from BMW customers and us. This is a way for us to contribute back to the community,” she said.
Commencing at QAF Centre in Beribi, the event kicked off with the unveiling of the new BMW Motorrad S 1000 RR by Alisa Khoo.
Riders were then flagged off and later they stopped at the parking lot next to Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Bridge for a group photo before heading to the Temburong District.
The group then stopped at Bukit Patoi Recreational Park in Jalan Labu, before heading to the residences of the recipients. Contributions included basic necessities.
Recipients Eveline Chung and Rohani Rahim expressed their appreciation to BMW Motorrad Brunei for the contribution.
“This is out of my expectation to receive such a contribution. Since I moved to Temburong, I am no longer working and we are happy to receive this,” said Eveline Chung.
The group had lunch at Freme Rainforest Lodge in Jalan Batang Duri, before making their final stop at Pekan Bangar.
