The Ministry of Health (MoH) put out a reminder that all premises are required to display BruHealth QR code at entry points.

In a statement yesterday, the MoH clarified that the premises required to obtain the BruHealth QR code include mosques, suraus, religious halls and other places of worship; all business premises such as restaurants, convenience shops, food courts, supermarkets, car workshops, barber shops, health and beauty establishments, cinemas, Internet cafés, department stores and others; offices such as government offices; sporting facilities such as badminton courts, futsal pitches, golf courses, swimming pools, gyms and fitness centres; hospitals and clinics; buses, taxis and DART vehicles; childcare centres; tuition schools; arcades and indoor playgrounds; recreational areas; senior citizen activity centres; recreational clubs; markets and stalls; higher education, vocational and technical institutions; and public places such as the airport.

The public is reminded to use the BruHealth app for scanning the QR code when entering or exiting premises.

The public is also urged to take the use of the BruHealth app seriously since it will help the MoH in contact tracing if there is a spread of the infection.

Violating the directives is an offence under Infectious Diseases Act (Chapter 204), which is punishable with a compound fine of up to BND5,000.

Offenders can also be prosecuted and fined up to BND10,000 or jailed for a term of up to six months, or both.

The MoH will take legal action on anyone who does not comply with the issued directives and instructions.

Premises managers are encouraged to use the PremiseScan application to assist customers who do not have access to the BruHealth application on their mobile phones.

To report premises ignoring the issued directives, email health.enforcement@moh.gov.bn or contact Darussalam hotline at 123.
