The National Archives of Brunei Darussalam, Department of Museums, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS) organised the Kenali Sejarah Melalui Koleksi Arkib Negara Brunei Darussalam (Understanding history through the collection of National Archives of Brunei Darussalam) programme during the Gerai Hujung Minggu Pasar Kitani at the Sports Gallery of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.
The event included an interactive picture puzzle of Brunei Darussalam archives collection, screening of historical video collection, mini exhibition on the history of bicycle racing in Brunei Darussalam, as well as a quiz and prize presentation.
Deputy Permanent Secretary (Youth and Sports) at the MCYS Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said attended.
The programme enlightened the public on the roles of the National Archives of Brunei Darussalam, especially on record collections such as photographs and audio visual material. It also allowed families to better understand Brunei’s history.
