The Centre for Islamic Art Studies and Calligraphy under the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (PPKKI-YSHHB) and Ar-Rafi Archery Brunei collaborated for the first time to organise a dual class on calligraphy and archery.
The activity to support both Islamic and domestic tourism was split into two sessions on September 13 and September 20. The first session saw the involvement of 15 participants, while the second saw 22 participants.
Participants were briefed on calligraphy writing, before attempting it on canvas. They visited the PPKKI-YSHHB Gallery to observe the types of calligraphy arts and paintings produced by locals and foreigners.
Later, they learnt about basic archery conducted by Ar-Rafi Archery Brunei.
