The Federation of Brunei Malay Entrepreneurs (PPPMB) has sent youth for entrepreneurship courses in China, Japan and other countries, PPPMB President Dr Haji Abdul Latif bin
Chuchu said.
He made these comments at a ceremony to celebrate PPPMB’s 42nd anniversary at Higher Hotel in Kampong Kiulap yesterday.
Minister of Development Dato Seri Setia Ir Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar was the guest of honour.
Dr Haji Abdul Latif said the PPPMB was originally known as ‘Gabungan Peniaga-Peniaga Melayu’ (Combination of Malay Entrepreneurs).
He said PPPMB has provided opportunities to its members who want to excel in their businesses.
PPPMB has also allowed its members to participate in local courses and workshops such as the Basic Accounting Course, Dr Haji Abdul Latif said.
The PPPMB was established to unite Brunei-Malay entrepreneurs in creating a helping spirit through entrepreneurship, as well as conducting visits to strengthen any economic activity.
Yesterday’s event also saw the handover of a certificate of appreciation by the guest of honour.
