As part of the Neighbourhood Watch programme under the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), information sharing on crime statistics and activities among local communities has contributed to raise awareness on the importance of combatting crime.
According to the RBPF, sharing sessions were held between Neighbourhood Watch units of different police stations with grassroots leaders and Neighbourhood Watch members recently.
The Limau Manis Police Station Assistant Officer-in-Charge Inspector Aminuddin bin Haji Metussin led a sharing session at the residence of Acting Village Head of Kampong Bebuloh.
Both sides discussed crime statistics for the first quarter of the year and also took the opportunity to get acquainted with each other.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member and Kampong Limau Manis Village Head Yang Berhormat Haji Mohimin bin Haji Johari @ Jahari as well as village heads of Kampong Bebuloh, Kampong Batong, Kampong Wasan, Kampong Panchor Murai and Kampong Pengkalan Batu attended.

In the Temburong District, Kampong Batu Apoi Neighbourhood Watch members met with Acting Commanding Officer of Temburong Police District ASP Pengiran Anak Haji Azanuddin Aman Shah bin Pengiran Anak Ismail Al-Haj to discuss developments in the area, among others.
In Seria, a similar meeting was held at the Pekan Seria Mosque to find ways to ensure the security and harmony of the place of worship and its vicinity.
The meeting with the mosque’s Imam was led by Acting Officer-in-Charge of Seria Police Station P/ASP Syed Afidzul Azeez bin Sheikh Haji Abu Bakar.
RBPF said the Neighbourhood Watch mechanism will continue to form effective strategies in sharing information and monitoring the prevention of crimes.
