THE Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) yesterday celebrated its Golden Jubilee at the Air Movement Centre, RBAirF Base.
Commander of the RBAirF and guest of honour Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah was joined by 50 former RBAirF commanders, retired Sergeant Majors and senior officers who had served and contributed to the establishment of RBAirF over the past 50 years.
The highlight of the celebration was the grand parade involving 157 personnel made up of eight officers and 149 of other ranks. Later, a speech was delivered by the RBAirF Commander.
The closing of the ceremony was marked by the recitation of a Doa Selamat, cutting of the anniversary cake and interaction between RBAirF personnel.
The 50th anniversary celebration carries the theme ‘RBAirF Generation with Vision,’ which aspires to deliver future leaders of the right caliber to fulfil the vision and mission of the RBAirF.
