The Council of Women of Brunei Darussalam (CWBD) yesterday held a Doa Kesyukuran, mass Sunnat Hajat prayer and Asar prayer in conjunction with the birth anniversary of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam.
The ceremony organised by CWBD and Brunei Darussalam Nurses Association (Penjuru) saw the attendance of 250 members of associations under CWBD.
CWBD president and vice presidents, Penjuru president as well as the presidents of 13 women’s associations under the CWBD attended the event at the Suri Seri Begawan Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Mosque. The event commenced with mass Sunnat Hajat prayer led by Dayangku Hajah Zainab binti Pengiran Haji Tuah from Pertiwi Association, and followed with recitation of Surah Yaasiin led by Hajah Taibah binti Kudi from the Belait District Women’s Welfare Association (PKP).
Hajah Fatimah binti Haji Ahmad from Pertiwi Association read the Doa Kesyukuran, while Pengiran Hajah Rakiah binti Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar from the Brunei Malay Teachers Association (PGGMB) recited the Doa Allah Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
The annual event is held to seek Allah the Almighty’s blessings for Her Majesty’s continued good health and happiness.
