The values of solidarity, harmony and sincere moral characters of Rasulullah Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam were proclaimed during Maulidur Rasul assemblies across all four districts to mark the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) yesterday.
Among them was a ceremony at RPN Kampong Rataie Mosque in the Temburong District, joined by Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Al-Quran verses, followed by a talk on ‘Developing with the Moral Values of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)’ and Dikir Marhaban before concluding with the reading of Sayyidul Istighfar, Doa Selamat and Selawat.
A gathering was also held at Mukim Bokok Community Hall, attended by Datin Hajah Norhaida binti Haji Sulaiman, spouse of the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism.
In the Belait District, the focal point of the religious ceremony was Muhammad Jamalul Alam Mosque, joined by Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II Dato Seri Setia Dr Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah as the guest of honour.
Legislative Council (LegCo) member and Acting Penghulu of Mukim Labi I Yang Berhomat Hanapi bin Mohd Siput, Belait District Officer Ramlee bin Haji Jamudin, government officials, penghulus and village heads were also present.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Mosque Affairs Officer Akup bin Haji Lamat, followed by a talk by Awangku Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sallehuddin from Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah on ‘Membangun Dengan Akhlak Nabi Muhammad SAW’.
The event continued with a Dikir Marhaban by the mosque Takmir committee, followed by the recitation of Doa Selamat by Abdul Qayyuum bin Haji Aminuddin from RPN Kampong Pandan Mosque before concluding with the recitation of Selawat.
A similar ceremony was held at the multipurpose hall of Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Religious School, attended by Pengiran Datin Noor Yasimah binti Pengiran Anak Haji Hashim, spouse of the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Finance and Economy II.
The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Hajah Rohani binti Haji Moksin from the Belait District Islamic Studies Department, followed by a talk from Zati Hanani binti Dato Seri Setia Haji Rajid from Al-Minhaaj Centre.
The ceremony continued with a Dikir Marhaban by members of the Belait District Women’s Association before concluding with the recitation of Doa Selamat by Hajah Rohani.
In the Tutong District, the Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque was the focal point of the mass gathering.
Present as the guest of honour was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin.
The minister was joined by LegCo members, Acting Tutong District Officer Ajmin bin Haji Meludin, senior government officials and village heads in Tutong.
The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque Imam Abdul Hafiy bin Haji Yahya, followed by a lecture from Mosque Affairs Officer at Ar-Rahim Mosque, Kampong Bukit Panggal in Tutong.
The highlight was a Dikir Marhaban performed by mosque officials from Tutong District, led by Haji Mauri bin Haji Matussin.
Meanwhile, the female congregants gathered at the Main Hall of the Tutong District Civic Centre Complex, attended by Datin Nurhayana Janis binti Abdullah @ Janice Lim Liau Yan, spouse of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, as the guest of honour.
The ceremony began with a mass recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a special lecture from Hajah Mastuyah binti Haji Abdul Ghani of RPN Bukit Beruang Mosque.
Members of the Muslimah Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque performed Dikir Marhaban, led by Hajah Entan binti Jaili.
