Engaging local entrepreneurs in dialogue

Some 18 members of Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DPPMB) led by Legislative Council member and President Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Hamid @ Sabli bin Arshad participated in a dialogue hosted by the Ministry of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) at Amar Pahlawan Hall of MTIC building yesterday.

Minister of Transport and Infocommunications Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof and Permanent Secretary at the MTIC Haji Mohammad Nazri bin Haji Mohammad Yusof were present.

The session began with a welcoming address by the permanent secretary followed by DPPMB President’s remarks.

Participants were briefed on the ministry’s MTIC 2025 and Digital Economy Masterplan, followed by a question-and-answer session.

The dialogue also served as a platform for local entrepreneurs to share views to support the government in realising Brunei Vision 2035.

Participants also viewed the Innovation Showcase and the National Road Safety Council Gallery which showed latest technological advances and MTIC efforts towards zero fatality road accident target by 2025.

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Transportation, Research & Development) Pengiran Haji Mohd Zain bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Razak and Acting Deputy Permanent Secretary (Infocommunications, Cybersecurity, Strategy and Corporate) Mazriyani binti Haji Abdul Ghani also attended.
