As the year draws to a close, Jeep Owners Group Brunei (JOGB) members have been kept busy with charity work. In the past, they performed charity activities both locally and abroad.

Late last month, JOGB members installed solar equipment and a water pump, bringing electricity and cleaner water supply to the home of Iasa bin Haji Yunos.

A week earlier, team members Khadijah, Calvin, Kenny, Yusron and Fery delivered basic necessities to Iasa’s home, located deep in the jungle of Kampong Long Mayan.

The convoy also collaborated with Persatuan Kereta Tahan Lasak Brunei (PKLTB) to deliver basic necessities to Kampong Benutan flood victims.

The group collected 42 basic necessity sets, each with a sack of fragrant rice, two cartons of mineral water, a tray of eggs and canned foods for distribution. The contributions were made by its members, GHK Motors officials, their families and friends.

Together with the PKLTB convoy providing transportation assistance and led by village head of Kampong Benutan, the team delivered food items to all recipients.

Installation of solar equipment and water tank pumps; donating and delivering basic necessities to Muslim converts and the poor; and assisting flash flood victims in remote villages and lowlands in the Tutong, Belait and Temburong districts are among the highlights.
