With travel restrictions still in place amid the COVID-19 pandemic, members of the public opt to spend their holiday and family time taking ‘staycation’ and other homestay programmes in the country.
However, staycation is no longer the only option during long school breaks as Datastream Digital Sdn Bhd (DST) officially announced its exclusive partnership with Sparks Co Sdn Bhd for ‘DST Winter Wonders’.
The event will be held on December 23-27 and December 30 – January 3 from 2.30pm to 10pm.
The 10-day family-oriented winter-themed holiday celebration will feature a wide variety of food and beverages, fun carnival games, and musical performances, in conjunction with Brunei December Festival 2020.
The partnership was revealed during a press conference at DST Headquarters in Jalan Tungku

Deputy Permanent Secretary (Tourism) at the Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism (MPRT) Wardi bin Haji Mohammad Ali was the guest of honour.
DST CEO Radin Sufri bin Radin Basiuni, Project Manager at Sparks Co Sdn Bhd Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad Abdul Qayyum bin Pengiran Sura Negara Pengiran Anak Haji Muhammad Bey Muntassir and Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Relentless Entertainment and Relentless Academy of Performing Arts Amy Cheong Sui Ying were also present.
“There will be four themed areas, with the Snow Village as the main attraction, along with Vendors Lane, Street Food Marketplace and Urban Dining,” Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muhammad Abdul Qayyum said.
The deputy permanent secretary, meanwhile, expressed his appreciation to DTS for hosting the much anticipated event for the Brunei December Festival 2020.
CEO Radin Sufri similarly conveyed his excitement to partner with Sparks Co Sdn Bhd and expressed his deepest appreciation to MPRT for the continuous support on the event.
Visitors to the Snow Village will be greeted with winter-themed decorations including snow fall special effects, a synthetic skating rink, winter inspired food and beverages and carnival games.
In conjunction with the event DST offers Easi Everything Campaign for existing and new Easi subscribers, including more data, more value and bundle offers at the DST Pavilion at the Vendors Lane.
Existing DST products and services customers will get a chance to win daily lucky draw prizes including brand-new iPhone 12 and the Apple Watch SE.
DST will also organise engagement activities for the public to enjoy and win giveaway prizes.
Tickets to the DST Winter Wonders are currently available for purchase at Mabohai Shopping Complex and The Mall, Gadong. Tickets can also be purchased at Jerudong Park Playground counter during the 10-day event.
