A Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit (CRU) patient from Gleneagles JPMC Haji Ranie bin Timbang expressed gratitude to the Government of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam for the free healthcare services provided in Brunei Darussalam, and prayed that Allah the Almighty will repay the monarch’s good deeds.

Speaking at the Cardiac Rehab Participant ‘Get Together’ at Seaworld Neptune Restaurant in Jerudong on Saturday, Haji Ranie also expressed gratitude to Gleneagles JPMC for its good service and professional attitude, allowing patients to feel comfortable during treatment.

“What is interesting to note is that Minister of Health Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar personally operated on me, and that all medical staff introduced themselves before I underwent my operation,” he said.

Haji Ranie lauded Gleneagles JPMC for maintaining high standards of service even during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The CRU at Gleneagles JPMC typically organises the get-together as part of Hari Raya celebrations. However, in view of the pandemic it had to be postponed.

Gleneagles JPMC Allied Health Professionals Manager Andrea Tan Hui Hui highlighted that the uptake for the programme has been encouraging, with 302 referred participants enrolled as of October 2020. Gleneagles JPMC Operations Manager and guest of honour ‘Izzul Hamzi bin Haji Jomari, staff, former and existing cardiac rehab participants, as well as guests attended.

The event was held in line with Gleneagles JPMC’s commitment to building relations with participants, supporting them to live a healthier and active lifestyle following cardiac-related treatment.
