SC Tubular Solutions (B) Sdn Bhd (SCTSB) presented a donation to Sejahtera Community Brunei as part of its corporate social responsibility at SCTSB Headquarters in Salambigar.
The financial aid will assist Sejahtera Community in funding veterinary services, mainly on spaying to curb population surge in stray animals and general healthcare of strays to have them ready for adoption.
Sejahtera Community was represented by Pengiran Nooraini binti Pengiran Ahmad, Noraini Mohamad and Mohammad Moshatari bin Haji Abdul Hamid.
The non-governmental organization (NGO) currently covering the Brunei-Muara District, urges for more active volunteers both as feeders and on-call rescuers to join the team.
Pengiran Nooraini said there has been positive feedback from the general public, especially on feeder runs, and the general understanding that individuals need to become agents of change.
She added that the NGO has set a target of reducing the stray animal population in the district by half in 10 years.
