Legislative Council Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman bin Dato Setia Haji Mohamed Taib received a courtesy call from ASEAN Secretary-General Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi at Councils of State building in Jalan Dewan Majlis yesterday.
During the courtesy call, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest including the strengthening of ASEAN parliamentary law-makers on the importance of the ASEAN Comprehensive Recovery Framework (ACRF), and hoped the call would strengthen ties between ASEAN and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA).
Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Lela Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Abdul Rahman is the 42nd President of AIPA.
Acting Clerk to the Legco Speaker Rose Aminah binti Haji Ismail was also present.
