A Knowledge Convention Forum on healthy lifestyle organised by the Side Event Working Committee for the Knowledge Convention 2020 was held at Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Pekan Tutong yesterday.
Legislative Council member and Penghulu of Mukim Tanjong Maya Yang Berhormat Haji Abdul Wahab bin Apong was the guest of honour.
Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) Haji Mohd Serudin bin Haji Timbang was also present.
The panellists were Senior Medical Officer at the Ministry of Health (MoH) Dr Siti Rosemawati binti Haji Md Yussof, lecturer at the Centre for Promotion of Knowledge and Language of Universiti Islam Sultan Shariff Ali (UNISSA) Dr Hajah Ummi Faizah binti Haji Abdul Rahman and Psychology Officer at MoH Hajah Rozailah binti Haji Abdul Rahman.
Deputy Director of Core Knowledge Centre at Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) was the forum’s moderator.
The forum was jointly organised by MoH, MoRA, UNISSA and KUPU SB, aimed at raising awareness on healthcare, particularly for quitting smoking and handling stress.
Several forums and exhibitions will be held at mosques, community halls and shopping complexes throughout this month and the next.
