Porsche is expanding the Taycan model range to include a rear-wheel drive variant to the all-electric sports salon line up.

The first rear-wheel drive Taycans will make their way to dealerships from the middle of March.

Apart from the rear-wheel drive, other features of this fourth variant of the Taycan also includes two sizes of battery – standard performance battery or optional performance battery plus – with nominal power of 240kW or 280kW.

The Taycan includes Plug & Charge function and optional equipment include a colour head-up display and an on-board charger with a charging capacity of up to 22kW. With Functions on Demand (FoD), Taycan drivers can purchase additional convenience or assistance functions as required.

According to Porsche, over 20,000 Taycans were delivered to customers worldwide in 2020.

The electric sports car has already received around 50 international awards, above all in its principal markets of Germany, the United States (US), the United Kingdom (UK) and China.
