The Tutong District Amateur Football Association (TDAFA) has taken the initiative to increase the number of qualified referees to officiate football matches in both district and national leagues in Brunei Darussalam, leading the way as an example to other districts.
National Football Association of Brunei Darussalam (NFABD) Executive Committee member Pengiran Haji Aliudin bin Pengiran Haji Tajuddin highlighted this in his welcoming remarks during the launch of the basic football referee course at the TDAFA office in Tutong District recently.
Pengiran Haji Aliudin congratulated the TDAFA President Haji Othman bin Haji Ghazali and all working committee members as the hosts of the referee course.
He also lauded NFABD Referee Director Abdul Razak bin Anuar and the instructors.
Organised by the Brunei Darussalam Referee Association in collaboration with NFABD and TDAFA, 10 referees are taking part in the four-day course, which is set to conclude on February 28.
TDAFA Deputy President I Haji Takong bin Ahmad, TDAFA Deputy President II Bujang bin Haji Japar, TDAFA General Secretary Matusin bin Sumpong, and President of Brunei Darussalam Referee Association Haji Hamidon bin Haji Md Zin were present during the launch.
