Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong joined some 150 cyclists at the Brunei-Muara District Recreational Cyclethon Activity 2021 yesterday.
The event held in conjunction with the 37th National Day celebration was organised by Lambak Kanan Housing Scheme Area 2 Village Consultative Council (MPK) with cooperation from the Brunei-Muara District Office.
The minister joined the warm-up sessions at Brunei-Muara District Office and then launched the cyclethon. Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Haji Awang Abu Bakar joined the 12-kilometre cycling route.
The activity was to held to enliven the National Day celebration, instil healthy living and foster close ties among participants.
Legislative Council (LegCo) members Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Ali bin Pengiran Maon and Yang Berhormat Pengiran Haji Mohamed bin Pengiran Haji Osman @ Othman and senior officials from the ministry participated.
