THE Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Brigadier General Pengiran Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, and General Tan Sri Raja Mohamed Affandi bin Raja Mohamed Noor, Chief of the Malaysian Army, yesterday preceded the closing ceremony of Exercise BRUMAL SETIA 13/2016 that was held in the Tutong District.
The ceremony began with a demonstration of the Exercise’s final attack, followed by the honorary salute led by Major Muhd Suwardi Ariffin bin Pehin Datu Laksamana Dato Paduka Haji Abdul Latip, said a press release from the Ministry of Defence (MinDef).
The official closing of BRUMAL SETIA 13/2016 was further marked with a handover ceremony for the exercise flag and a Doa to bless the occasion.
The event also heard speeches delivered by the RBLF Commander and Malaysian Army Chief.
The Exercise, held from the September 15 to 21, was participated by Units of Company A from the First Battalion of RBLF and Company C from the 20 Malay Regiment of the Malaysian Army, involving 318 personnel from both Land Forces.
The Exercise aimed at enhancing interoperability, strengthening mutual understanding as well as advancing friendly relations between the two land forces.
It was the 13th series since its inception in 1993.
