THE 2016 Brunei Darussalam Inter Secondary Schools and Colleges Hockey Tournament organised by Co-Curriculum Education Department, Ministry of Education through the Physical Education Unit was concluded yesterday at the Hockey Stadium of the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium Sports Complex in Berakas. The tournament was also organised in cooperation with Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College as hosts for 2016.
Five teams; Muda Hashim Secondary School, Tanjong Maya Secondary School, Sayyidina Husain Secondary School, Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College and Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Secondary School participated for the Boys category.
While four teams; Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School, Tanjong Maya Secondary School, Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Science College and Sayyidina Husain Secondary School competed for the Girls category.
Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School emerged as the champion of the Girls category after they managed to edge Tanjong Maya Secondary School 1-0 in the final match.

Nazirah binti Zainuddin from Sufri Bolkiah Secondary School was presented with the Best Scorer award with three goals.
Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien College retained the Champion’s title for the 5th time after they beat Tanjong Maya Secondary School 1-0 in the Boys category final match.
Mohd Noradirul Azli bin Muhd Nurhisyam and Zulfazrul Hisham bin Zulkarnaen both from Tanjong Maya Secondary School were awarded the Best Scorer with both scoring two goals each.
Haji Mustafa bin Haji Masri, Head of Miftaahun Najaah Unit, Schools Department, Ministry of Education presented the prizes to the winners.
