BRUNEI’S ladies softball teams finished on the podium at the UUM International Open Softball Championship Tunku Panglima Besar Kedah Trophy in Alor Setar, Kedah, Malaysia, yesterday.
Divas showed signs of fatigue after three days of matches and lost the semifinal to K-Ners 7-4.
However, Divas managed to bounce back to edge UTHM Johor 4-3 in the third placing match to secure bronze.
Chikara crushed UTHM Johor and the match was stopped in a run ahead point of 16-0 on the bottom of the second inning in the other semifinal.

Chikara were crowned champions after beating K-Ners 17-4 in the final.
Lulu from Chikara received the Best Batter Award and Beth, also from Chikara, received the Best Pitcher Award.
