BOARDING Gate has officially opened in Brunei Darussalam, launching its first outlet at The Airport Mall in Berakas.
The opening ceremony yesterday saw large crowds of visitors filtering into the store to check out the wide selection of branded travelling goods available.
Officiating the opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony were Jeff Tan, Sales Director of Seager Inc’s Travel Goods Division from Singapore; Lim Kwee, General Manager of GL Extra Enterprise; and Don Wong, Managing Director of Thule South East Asia.
The outlet carries renowned brands such as BG Berlin, True Utility, O2COOL, Crossing, New Yorker, Eagle Creek, Klean Kanteen, LOQI, Pacsafe, Thule and Human Gear.
Speaking to the media earlier in the day, Jeff explained that Boarding Gate was launched in late 2013, with its first counter opened at Isetan Department Store, West Gate Shopping Mall in Singapore. It later extended its reach into other Singapore premium department stores such as Isetan Scotts and Tangs Vivo.
The shop then expanded to its first overseas branch in Philippines in 2015.
Today, Singapore has seven Boarding Gate outlets. There are three stores in the Philippines, while Brunei, Vietnam and Malaysia each have a branch.
Boarding Gate provides a very wide range of travel essentials, luggage bags and business cases of varying brands, Jeff said.
“Boarding Gate positions itself to meet your urbanised travel needs, with brands that offer practicality and an interesting sartorial appeal to the modern day consumers,” he said, adding that “We realised that modern day consumers require a concept where, in terms of products, they are able to buy and use for their daily needs and at the same time use it when they travel.”
