A RELIGIOUS gathering was held yesterday by the Association of the Wives of Cabinet Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries, in honour of the birthday celebrations of Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam.
This year’s function was hosted by Datin Hajah Zalina binti Haji Omar, the wife of the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, at her residence in Kampong Sungai Hanching in Jalan Muara, in her capacity as the head of the Religious Division Committee.
The occasion began with the recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah led by Datin Paduka Hajah Jahrah binti Haji Mohammad, the wife of the Minister of Home Affairs in her capacity as the chairperson of the association.
It then continued with a Khatam Al-Quran, which was followed by mass Sunnat Hajat prayers led by Hajah Sarimah binti Haji Abu Bakar, the wife of the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Afterwards, Doa Kesyukuran was read by Datin Hajah Jama’iah binti Haji Awang Abdul Manap, the wife of the Deputy Minister of Education.
Also present was Datin Hajah Asmah binti Haji Abdul Rahman, the wife of the Minister of Education in her capacity as the deputy chairperson of the association; together with the wives of Cabinet Ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries and other association members.
The religious gathering is an annual event in the association’s calendar, to show their devotion and loyalty towards Her Majesty.
