FOLLOWING the appointment of Anirvan G Dastidar as the CEO for Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) Brunei, the bank hosted a reception for clients, key associates and partners to introduce Anirvan Dastidar.
The reception was held at the Mutiara Ballroom at the Radisson Hotel.
Anirvan Dastidar said, “I am excited to be offered the opportunity to take up the position as CEO for Standard Chartered Brunei. Our long presence in Brunei, since 1958, reflects our commitment in this market and rounds up our complete presence in Asean.”
Anirvan is responsible for developing and executing the strategy for the business; building relationships with local clients and businesses, as well as regulators and stakeholders; and bottom-line profitability and capital.
Anirvan is a senior banker with over 20 years of experience. He has held a variety of senior positions in his 20 years with Standard Chartered, including CEO in Philippines, and CEO in Sri Lanka.
He has had extensive experience that spans risk and corporate governance, wholesale banking, project finance, debt capital markets, as well as consumer banking. Under his leadership, Standard Chartered Bank Sri Lanka was recognised as the ‘Best in Treasury and Working Capital for Multinational and Large Local Corporates’ in 2014 by Asset Magazine’s Asset Asian Awards.
