BY THE command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, 20 officers of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) were promoted to new ranks with effect from August 16, 2016.
The promotion ceremony was officiated yesterday by the guest of honour, Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, the Commissioner of Police, at the RBPF Headquarters in Gadong.
Also in attendance were Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali, the Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police, along with directors, senior officers and other guests.
Promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police were Senior Inspector of Police Izmie bin Haji Ismail, Inspector Awangku Muhammad Saiful Amirul bin Pengiran Haji Ramlee, Inspector Ismail bin Ibrahim and Inspector Mohd Adi Hamree bin Haji Mohd Rakawi, while Chief Inspector of Police Mohd Ali bin Haji Yahya was promoted to Temporary Acting Assistant Superintendent of Police.
Promoted to the rank of Chief Inspector of Police were Senior Inspector of Police Alfie Wayne Boyd, Senior Inspector of Police Rosli bin Haji Tuming, Senior Inspector of Police Shamsulnahar bin Haji Idris, Senior Inspector of Police Mohd Baharin Shah bin Haji Abu Bakar, Senior Inspector of Police Pengiran Mohammad Khairul Alimin bin Pengiran Haji Mohammad and Inspector Kifli bin Haji Mohd Daud.
Another nine police inspectors were promoted to Senior Inspector of Police; namely, Inspector Pengiran Haji Syamshahai’rul Ismar bin Pengiran Haji Shahbudin, Inspector Haji Ramee bin Haji Abdul Hamid, Inspector Yussop bin Haji Mat Yassin, Inspector Haji Rabi’ul Shukreen bin Abdullah, Inspector Haji Mohammad Fahmi bin Haji Ahmad, Inspector Abdul Sahrimin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Inspector Saidin bin Mohammad Salleh, Inspector Omar bin Haji Bahar and Inspector Rabu @ Raziq bin Haji Bahar.
