A TALK on the development of industrial estates by Jurong Town Corporation yesterday gave local architects, engineers, surveyors and other stakeholders an insight into the development of Jurong Island in Singapore into a world class petro-chemical complex.
The talk organised by Brunei Association of Surveyors, Engineers and Architects (PUJA) took place at Indera Pahlawan Hall, Ministry of Development’s Training Centre.
PUJA’s President Mohd Nazri bin Haji Mohd Yusof said PUJA is focusing on overcoming the challenges faced by local stakeholders by holding workshops and seminars that will enhance its members’ skills and knowledge, thus building public confidence in the capability of its members.
The speaker at yesterday’s talk, Ong Geok Soo, held special appointments by Ministry of National Development, Singapore (2011-2014) and was an Assistant Chief Executive Officer at Jurong Town Corporation, Singapore (2000-2010).
