The ceremony began with welcoming remarks by Hajah Noraidah binti Haji Tengah, the Headmistress of the JIS Religious School, in which she attributed the students’ excellent results to the strong efforts and determination of their respective class teachers.

She also pointed out that the school has also been working on developing the students’ skills through various Al-Quran and Dikir Syarafil Anam competitions, organised by the Co-Curriculum Section of the Department of Islamic Studies (JPI).

The headmistress also mentioned the religious school’s participation in the ‘Satu Minggu Satu Juzuk’ (One Week, One Juzuk) programme initiated by JPI this year, which produced 31 Khatam readers comprising Primary 1 to Primary 6 students.

She expressed her appreciation to the JIS Board of Directors along with the principal, deputy principal and staff of JIS, for their continuous support and cooperation with the religious school.
