TWENTY-FIVE participants qualified for the finals of the National Musabaqah Al-Quran Memorisation and Understanding Competition 1437H/2016M.
This was announced yesterday during the Presentation of Tokens of Appreciation Ceremony held at the Lecture Theatre of Institut Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah.
Present as the guest of honour was Roslan bin Haji Taja’ah, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Administration and Financial Affairs) at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by welcoming remarks from the Chairman of the competition’s committee, Pengiran Haji Haslin bin Pengiran Haji Ali, Acting Director of the MABIMS Al-Quran Propagation and Studies Centre.
After the audience witnessed a video slideshow of the competition semi-finals, the results were announced by Haji Mohd Sujairi bin Haji Dollah, Chairman of Judges for the competition.
The finalists in Category ‘A’ are Razin Hakim bin Abdul Razak; Muhammad Nurhidayatullah Al-Mu’min bin Awang Rossnan; Mohammad Wafiq bin Haji Saidi Ghalib Khan; Waliyah binti Haji Kamarul Azam; and Azyan Adibah binti Mohd Hanafi.
In Category ‘B’, the finalistS are Awangku Mohamad Khairul Hakimin bin Pengiran Mohd Aminuddin; Awangku Muhammad Fakhrur Razey bin Pengiran Damit; Ayeshah binti Mohamed Shalahudeen; Bani Nurun Nasyithah binti Asbinin; and Nur Syafiqah binti Mohammad Saidi.
In Category ‘C’, the finalists are Hajah Norhidayatul Mukminah binti Haji Puteh; Abdul Aziz bin Noor Nasran; Hajah Adzimah Mukarramah binti Haji Salleh; Siti Nuriezatul Afiqah Farhana binti Mohammad Sumadi; and Muhammad Saifullah bin Rosli.
In Category ‘D’, the finalistS are Mohammad Aqiel Hidayat bin Haji Zulfa Hidayat; Mohammad Saiful Wafi @ Aman bin Haji Adis; Nor Hafizah binti Haji Jahari; Awangku Muhammad Abdul Majeed Ariffin bin Pengiran Haji Mohd Abdul Aziz; and Assrinna binti Haji Ibrahim.
And in Category ‘E’, the finalists are Awangku Muhammad Abdul Qadir bin Pengiran Haji Ibrahim; Dayangku Nurol Hafizah binti Pengiran Haji Tejudin; Nurulain binti Haji Abas; Irma Mohammad Hazmie bin Haji Metussin; and Muhammad Hazri bin Haji Mohd Hamzani.
Following the presentation of souvenirs to the competition participants and judges, the ceremony concluded with a recitation of Doa Selamat.
