Fire victims receive helping hand

THE Department of Schools at the Ministry of Education yesterday presented donations to three victims whose lives have been disrupted following a house fire.

Acting Senior Special Duties Officer (Corporate) at the Ministry of Education Haji Mohd Sharifuddin bin Haji Mohd Salleh presented the donations to the recipients.

A sum of $1, 232 was each presented to Norsharizawati binti Md Said – a relief teacher from Pengiran Anak Puteri Besar Primary School; Muhammad Naqiuddin Ariel bin Jenin – a Year 5 student at Sungai Kebun Primary School; and Muizudin Aiman bin Jenin – a Year 8 student from Awang Semaun Secondary School.

The donation came in the form of cash raised by various departments and units under the Ministry of Education. The donation presentation was held at Awang Semaun Primary School.

The trio lost their Kampong Sungai Panga home to a fire on July 13, 2016.
